We started Software to Fit to address the needs we saw in the market. Companies needed Enterprise Systems but could not justify the high cost. Some companies tried to cut costs and ended up with an unusable system or a system that did not match what they originally requested. We decided to use our experience and determine if we could cut the costs by one half using the best technologies available. Our experience and certifications in distributive computing would drive our effort in researching and finding the best methods to integrate the best technologies. The two core technologies that stood out were Java from Sun and .Net from Microsoft. We researched and documented both Java and .Net documenting all features related to integration and scored them accordingly. While we won’t publish our research efforts for company specific reasons (We will let other companies do their own research in other words) it will become obvious which one we settled on as we build your solution. Our framework does enable us to build a solution twice as fast when compared to a few years ago. This is the main reason those of us involved in this research project decided to found Software to Fit.
Over the last decade as technologies matured it took many hours, even for an expert, to turn out a good system. Now technology has matured and we are now seeing the results. Those companies who invested in researching technologies will benefit and be in an advantageous position over companies that did not invest in research. The main benefit is in understanding how these mature technologies compliment one another. For the first time technologies are complimenting the other technologies and this is what we mean by maturity in the IT field. The latest technologies integrate so well you would think one group created it all. Every company that wants to survive should know about this current evolution in software architecture. We have spent years researching these technologies so we can deliver our cliental the software they need at prices they can afford.
This evolution will continue for the next couple of years. The large companies releasing development software are now insuring it is compatible with existing technologies.
